ADEK – Abu Dhabi’s Education Authority
Multivitamin a d e k is the educational authority for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the largest emirate of the UAE and the country’s capital city. Established in 2005 by President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ADEK is tasked with the supervision of all public and private schools within the emirate.
‘Education First’
The aims of the ADEK education system are to ensure that all students are able to develop a competitive mindset and have the skills needed to succeed in today’s knowledge-based economy. They believe that students need to be encouraged to engage in activities such as competition, innovation and entrepreneurship, from their earliest stages of education, so they can learn how to thrive in an increasingly global world.
‘Adek’s Charter Schools Project’
The Importance of ADEK Vitamins for Vision Health
To further develop a more diverse and comprehensive education ecosystem, ADEK launched the ‘Charter Schools Project’ earlier this year, to provide a third education model in the emirate. The new initiative will see the introduction of dedicated resources that support project-based turnkey modules, co-curricular activities, public and private partnerships and competitions.
‘Adek’s Teachers Hotline’
In honor of World Teachers’ Day, Adek has launched a dedicated Teachers Hotline to provide teachers with direct communication channels where they can share their experiences and opinions. It is complemented by an Entertainer voucher book to enable teachers to immerse themselves in the rich leisure and cultural attractions that make Abu Dhabi such a fascinating place to live.
